Cutillo Park Renovations Coming Soon

Restorations of Cutillo Park in the North End by the City of Boston Parks and Recreation Department (BPD) will occur in the near future.

A third virtual public meeting was held on May 27 to discuss design of the park, concerns, expert opinions and ask questions.

BPD has been working with Friends of Cutillo Park and other residents to make the park an active place for the community to enjoy, especially the children.

Cutillo Park, for many years, was the site of drug use and sales during warm weather nights, usually when the sun set.

Proper lights, police patrols and residents notifying the police if they see something going on, is the key to getting rid of the potential problems, according to community residents.

Turning the park into a garbage site must also be avoided for visual and health reasons.

Having another park returned to the North End required solid participation by everyone involved.
