Boston Marathon Markers Video Available
A first ever documentary, a seven-minute piece on the creation of the Boston Marathon Markers on Boylston Street has been completed in August 2019, according to the City of Boston and Mayor Martin Walsh.
Reportedly, the City has worked with families of those lost in the Marathon bombing for five years to commemorate the impact of the day.

City Receives $4.3 Million HUD Funding
Boston has received $4.3 million in funding from the US Department of House and Urban Development (HUD) to reduce the risk of childhood lead poisoning.
“This funding award is a great affirmation of our lead abatement work and will support our efforts in providing safe and assessable homes to all Bostonians,†Mayor Martin Walsh said.
“This new funding will help us to make more homes safe and healthy for our families,†he added.
Library Eliminates Overdue Fines
Boston Public Library (BPL) is eliminating overdue fines for youth under the age of 18 who have a library card, according to the Mayor Office.
The BPL Board of Trustees voted unanimously to eliminate overdue fines, which in turn will also remove barriers and expand access to the important services and resources offered at the library.
