BWSC at Library

Boston Water and Sewer Commission (BWSC) will be in the North End to meet with customers on Thursdays, November 7 and December 5 from 10 a.m. to twelve noon at the North End Library, 25 Parmenter Street.

NEMPAC Kicks off Winter Series

North End Music and Performing Arts Center (NEMPAC) Winter Concert Series will be held on Thursday, November 21 with “Through the Lens: Jewish Classics, Celebrated and Unknown” at Bijou de la Vida Private Gallery, 390 Commercial Street. For details call 617-227-2270.

NEWRA Neighborhood Cleanup

A neighborhood cleanup and luncheon will be conducted by North End/Waterfront Residents’ Association (NEWRA) on Saturday, November 1 starting at 9:30 a.m. in the Prado. Residents are encouraged to participate.

Polishing Up the Brass

The Old North Church will be polishing up its brass figures to light up the holiday lights on Saturday, November 23 starting at 9 a.m.

Volunteers are needed to be a part of the Old North Community event and spend the morning serving and preserving the historic site.

NEMPAC Youth Choir

The North End Music and Performing Arts Center (NEMPAC) is seeking members of their Youth Choir to learn and participate in many of their upcoming performances. For more details call 617-227-2270.

Library Christmas Party

This year’s North End Library Christmas Party will be held on Saturday, December 7 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Entertainment will be provided by NEMPAC.

Computer Assistance

One-On-One computer assistance for adults is being held at the North End Library, by appointment only. Call 617-227-8135 to reserve a spot.

Crafternoon at Library

Kids’ Crafternoon will be held at the North End Library on Mondays, November 4 and 18 at 3:30 p.m.

Baby Storytime

Baby Storytime is held each Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the North End Library.

Last Boston Christmas Festival

Boston Christmas Festival will be held at the Seaport World Trade Center on the weekend of November 8-10. This will be the final year of the long-standing Christmas Festival. For information call 617-385-5000 or visit www.BostonChristmasFestival.com.

Library Info Session

A Dementia information session will be held at the North End Library on Saturday, November 2 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Library Friday Films

During the month of November, the North End Library will present Friday Movies at 1 p.m.

RUFF Game Day

RUFF is having another event, Game Day run by Pidg Ciampa on Saturday, November 9 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the dog park in DeFilippo Playground.

Join the event for a fun round of sight and scent and games. Prizes will be awarded.

Friends of Library Seek Membership Dues

The following is a listing of dates for the month of November that will impact the BCYF Nazzaro Center and/or the afterschool program.

•        Tuesday, November 5-No After School (Election Day).

•        Thursday, November 7-All children must be picked up by 5:45 p.m. (Center is closing at 6 p.m. for a special event).

•        Monday, November 11-Veteran’s Day-Center is Closed.

•        Wednesday, November 27-No after school pickup-cap program begins at 2:30 p.m.

•        Thursday, November 28-Thanksgiving Day-Center is closed.

•        Friday, November 29-After School Program.

Winter Hat and Glove Drive

Friends of Saint Francis House and Greenway Realty winter hat and glove drive underway. Drop off new items only at 169 Salem Street by December 2.

NEAD Family Event

Friends of Columbus Park’s 16th annual Holiday Trellis Lighting will be held on Monday, November 25 at 5 p.m. Refreshments and entertainment.

NSC Arts and Crafts

Every other Thursday from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. the North End/West End Neighborhood Service Center (NSC), 1 Michelangelo Street conducts arts and crafts.

N.E. Basketball Bonanza

The 4th annual North and Basketball Bonanza will be held on Friday, November 8 from 6 to 10 p.m. at the Nazzaro Community Center.

14th Annual North End Halloween Party

Dog Park Canine Visitors Need to be Registered

Responsible Urbanites for Fido (RUFF) reminds dog owners that all dogs need to be licensed to visit the dog park in DeFilippo Park.

The City of Boston has made this quick and easy by completing the registration online.

Old North CHURCH HAS New Hours

The Old North Church has expanded its hours of operation through October 31, from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. 7 days a week. The church is always open for public worship between 9 a.m. and 12 p.m. on Sundays.

Homework Help

The North End Library, 25 Parmenter Street will provide homework help for kindergarten through grade six on Wednesdays from 4-6 p.m.

NSC Free Lunch Programs

Anyone that would like to participate in the North End Neighborhood Service Center’s free lunch program should call 617-523-8125 to reserve a spot for future meals. New clients must sign up to receive membership with ABCD. All luncheons will be announced in the timely fashion.

Trip to Canobie Lake

A trip for teens to Canobie Lake has been planned for October 18 by the Nazzaro Center. For information call Michele Deveau at 617-635-5166.
