North End Neighborhood Nights an idea to support several local non-profit organizations to continue to be a success.
For the past several months owner Robin Sidell has gone above and beyond her idea to present thirty percent of the grille’s profit during certain hours of the day, each Thursday of the month from 5 PM to 7 PM.
The grille was packed with customers on January 3 raising $1,000 for the North End Against Drugs (NEAD) scholarship program.
Robin once again hosted another community fundraiser (Feb. 7), this time giving $1,378 for the annual Drug Awareness Day, coordinated by NEAD, St. John and the Eliot schools.
“This very important community endeavor helps to educate our children about the dangers of drugs, alcohol and cigarette smoking,†NEAD President John Romano said.
“We truly appreciate the kindness and generosity of Robin and the North Street Grille,†Romano said. “Not only did they raise a lot of money for some very good causes but some excellent food and great company was enjoyed.â€
He encourages everyone to attend the Thursday evening fundraisers.
The next North Street Grille Neighborhood Nights will take place on Thursday, March 7.
