Boston Police District A-1 provided North End / Waterfront residents an update on recent neighborhood crime incidents, summarized below, at the October 2018 North End Public Safety Meeting.
Crime in District A-1 is down 1% YTD.
Breaking & Entering – Residence (2)
– 4 Garden Court: An AC unit was pushed out of a window in order to gain entry into an apartment, within which the suspect(s) proceeded to eat some of the food located therein, leaving a food-related mess in the process.
– 5 Stillman Place: Some items were stolen from an apartment after the death of a tenant. The decedent’s family was able to recover some of the stolen property. A suspect has been identified. Detectives to follow-up.
Auto Theft (1)
– 150 Prince Street: A black 2015 scooter was reported stolen.
Larceny (6)
– 480 Commercial Street: Amazon firestick.
– Bricco (241 Hanover Street): A coat (containing a passport and keys).
– CVS (218 Hanover Street): Two incidents – five boxes of Zyrtec /hair and skin products.
– Richmond Street: A bicycle.
– 205 Endicott Street: A roommate’s friend allegedly stole a laptop computer.
Larceny from Motor Vehicle (1)
– Richmond & Fulton Street: While this incident was reported as a “larceny from a motor vehicle,†it appears not to be, as an individual was reported to be suspiciously checking out a car parked on the street. However, nothing appears to have been taken from the car, and there was no damage observed.
*Arrests (1)*
– Kidnapping / Attempted / Child Endangerment / Warrant (Faneuil Hall): A male suspect approached a 13-year-old girl and attempted to buy and kidnap her (offering cash to her parents in the process). This incident received press / news coverage.
