A special tour, Brethren, Bethel and Basilica, will be held by the North End Historical Society (NEHS) with tour guide Jessica Dello Russo a native of the North End.
The tour will illuminate Community Workshop Sites in and around Boston’s historic North Square.
A rare behind the scene tour of Sacred Heart Church will be included in the Wednesday, June 20, tour that begins at 6 p.m.
Dello Russo is a Vatican-trained archaeologist in ancient Jewish and Early Christian material culture and history. She is currently the Executive Director of the Boston-based non-profit International Catacomb Society, providing scholarships and public resources for the study of the Ancient Mediterranean. Dello Russo is also a past elected member of the North End/Waterfront Neighborhood Council (NEWRA) and contributor to the General of the North End Historical Society.
The cost for the tour is $20, NEHS members are free. Space is limited. For details email northendhs@gmail.com.
