Representative Aaron Michlewitz will sponsor his Annual North 2 South Baseball Classic between the North End and the South End. Â Â Youth ages 9 to 12 from the North End Athletic Association and South End Baseball programs will compete.
Both neighborhoods are represented by Representative Michlewitz and he came up with this idea prior to being elected. Â Both neighborhoods have strong baseball programs and great kids and this was a perfect way to get them together.
The games will be on Sunday, June 24, at 1 p.m. at Langone Park on Commercial Street in the North End and then on Thursday, June 28, at 6 p.m. at Peter’s Park on Washington St in the South End.
Players from both sides will be given special North 2 South Baseball shirts and hats and also be treated to pizza all sponsored by Michlewitz.
At each game there will be an MVP chosen from each team.  The North End MVP award is named in honor of  long time NEAA volunteer John Romano.  The South End MVP award is named in honor of Jason Burrell, a long time South End Baseball volunteer.
Some good baseball and more importantly some great kids from two wonderful neighborhoods have fun and play a game they all love, stop by to one or both of these games.
