Public Safety Meeting Report

Boston Police District A-1 provided North End / Waterfront residents an update on recent neighborhood crime incidents at the February 2018 North End Public Safety Meeting.

Aggravated Assaults (2)

Jan. 13 -  on Commercial Street: Domestic violence incident.

Jan. 18  and Jan. 28 on Cooper Street: Domestic violence incidents.

Auto Theft (1)

At 218 North Street: Victim reported his 2007 Chevy Cobalt was stolen.

Larceny (9)

-Jan. 9 -  between 8pm & 10pm at 106 Prince Street: Victim reports his cleaning company was in his Prince St. apartment while he was working. When he returned home, $400 in cash was missing from his dresser. Cleaning company was notified.

Jan. 11 -  at 3:24pm at CVS (Hanover St.): Hanover St. pharmacy reports an unknown suspect stole 10 bottles of cough medicine and fled on foot. Anti-theft sensor was reportedly damaged during the incident.

Jan. 14 -  at CVS (Hanover St.): Nine boxes of Prilosec were reported stolen.

Jan. 14 – at CVS (Hanover St.): 15 bottles of vitamins were reported stolen.

Jan. 15 -  at 43 Charter Street: A/C unit located in common area of building’s basement was reported missing.

-1/21/18 at CVS (Hanover St.): $180 worth of Rogaine was reported stolen.

Jan. 21 -  at 1:30am on Sheafe Street: Resident reports he walked to the store and left his front door open. Victim states when he returned 10 minutes later, his wallet and keys had been taken from the apartment.

Jan. 26 – at CVS (Hanover St.): Suspect stole sandwiches, cookies and candy.

*POSSIBLE LARCENY: Neighbor claimed personal papers of hers were stolen, but can’t be sure…*

Larceny from Motor Vehicle (3)

-Between 1/17/18 at 9am & 1/19/18 at 10:45am at 27 Clark Street:

Victim reports parking his 2012 Volvo S60 on Clark Street. When he returned to the vehicle, sunglasses, a Brooks Brothers peacoat, and motor vehicle registration were missing. No damage to vehicle.

-Between 1/26/18 at 3pm & 1/27/18 at 7am at 32 Fleet Street: Victim returned to parked car to find black leather jacket, a hat and $15 in change were stolen from the vehicle.

Jan. 29 – at 11 Parmenter Street: Victim returned to parked car and noticed a bottle of Jameson whiskey, a pair of Apple earbuds and a leather utility knife were missing.

Arrests (4)

-Warrant (1): Jan. 8 at 1:30 p.m. at Salem & Stillman Street: Suspect known to police was arrested on an outstanding warrant for larceny.

-Assault & Battery (1): Aforementioned Cooper Street incident.

-Aggravated Assault & Battery (2): Aforementioned Commercial Streetand Cooper Street incidents.

David Marx hosts the monthly Public Safety meeting with Boston Police District A-1. North End Public Safety Meetings are held on the first Thursday of the month, 6:00 p.m. at the Nazzaro Center, 30 N. Bennet Street. All are welcome to attend and bring their questions.
