Man Arrested for Assault in North End

by Phil Orlandella

District A1 Police following information from a female’s call that she was allegedly indecently assaulted by a male suspect in Boston’s North End on Friday, November 17 at 2:30 a.m. jumped into action, after the victim provided more information and with checking cameras in the area.

They quickly apprehended a Randolph man, Isaiah Brown, 26, and arrested him on Saturday night and charged him with indecent assault and battery and impersonating a police officer. He has already been arraigned in court.

Reportedly, the person who made the claim against Brown, told police “The man told her that he needed to speak to her immediately about an important matter, and she had to go with him.”

She wisely ran away when he attempted to assault her and called 911 immediately.

Boston Police Commissioner William B. Evans said in a statement, “Clearly the community’s a safer place with this individual off the streets and I hope residents of the North End can breathe a little easier and take comfort in the fact that this individual is no longer in a position to harm or harass anybody else.”

He also noted, “I want to commend my officers and detectives for the comprehensive effort that led to the quick arrest of the suspect wanted in this case.”
