100th Birthday Bash for the Prince Building

In 1917, the Prince Macaroni Company expanded their business in Boston’s North End from Prince Street to Atlantic Avenue. Ever since, 63 Atlantic Avenue has been called The Prince Building. In 1974, it became the the first condominium conversion on the waterfront attracting an involved group of residents from all walks of life, including several that count over 40 years living at the iconic building.

On October 25th, residents gave a 100th Birthday Party to The Prince Building. Held across the street at Joe’s Top Catch, there were stories, toasts, cake and a video premiere. Local officials joined in the celebration with official citations from the Massachusetts State

House and Boston City Hall, presented by City Councilor Sal LaMattina, State Representative Aaron Michlewitz and State Senator Joseph Boncore.

The Prince Centennial Committee included David Arnold, Jenn Crampton, Pauline Cuoco, Anne Devlin-Tagliaferro, Jean Eisenstadt, Cynthia Malm, Cathy McDonnell, Evvajean Mintz, Ann Moritz, Ivers Rifkin, Judy Reed Smith and Normand Smith.
