DOG PARK UPDATE!

After 3 long years our dream of a safe, off-leash, urban dog park is coming true. Construction has begun at the Prince street dog park location! It will continue through the end of October. Our contractors and the team are hard at work to complete this project on time. Feel free to take a walk up Snowhill Street and look in to see the progress. It is really exciting to watch this unfold.

IMPORTANT: We ask that all members and neighbors respect the closure notices. The park is 100% blocked off. If your dog needs off-leash park time, please use the Richmond Street Dog Run. Do NOT use the grassy areas or playground in the Gassey.

Given the efforts needed to get this project filled RUFF will not be hosting any events this month, including the ever popular dog show and doggie trick-or-treat. We are focusing our attention on the completion of the dog park and an opening event.

OTHER EVENTS

Our friends in Charlestown are hosting a doggie Halloween event and have invited all of our RUFF members to take part. The details are below. The Charlestown Dog Group has many of the same principals and goals that we do so please consider partaking in this event and supporting their cause.

The event will involve leashed dogs in costume parading in front of a panel of judges, and later performing their best trick! Party begins at 10, costume parade begins at 10:45. The party will feature coffee for humans and treats bags for dogs, plus a fundraiser for our organization. More details to follow.
