Following several community meetings relating to the renovation of Rachel Revere Park in North Square, across the street from Paul Revere’s House, completion of the park is ninety-nine percent done with some work that will be finished when the North Square project begins, according to Maria Lanza, Liaison of the City of Boston Neighborhood Services Department.
Renovation-construction budget of $180,000 from the City of Boston Capital Improvement Fund and an additional $172,000 in funding was requested.
Boston Parks and Recreation Department and Kyle Zick Landscape Architecture, Inc. were the principal project team.
“This community project had complete input from residents right from the start,†Lanza said.
“Once the North Square Project is completed, the city will conduct an official ceremony with the community,†Lanza said.
