North End Public Safety Meeting August 3

By Phil Orlandella

Based on the last two monthly Part One District 11 Boston Police reports, there has been an increase in crime in the North End.

Some residents believe it’s due to the warm weather, others feel it’s just a surge in crime, still others believe most of it is due to drugs in general.

The answer to these and other crime related issues will be discussed at the next Public Safety monthly meeting scheduled to take place in the Nazzaro Community Center, 30 North Bennet Street on Thursday, August 3 at 7 p.m.

Police will present their July 2017 monthly report, offer advice and answer questions posed by residents in attendance. They will also address public suggestions and any leads that will help prevent crime in the neighborhood.

David Marx, chairman of the North End/Waterfront Residents’ Association (NEWRA) chairs this meeting.
