Passacantilli the right choice for District 1 Councilor

District 1 Boston City Councilor candidate Stephen Passacantilli, a life-long North End resident, without question has the necessary neighborhood experience that would nake him a viable and reliable elected official to represent the North End, East Boston, Charlestown and part of the Waterfront community.

His previous actions on community related issues, activities and endeavors speak for themselves and he has shown a positive attitude that has resulted in a better neighborhood to live in.

Passacantilli will represent the districts to the best of his ability to meet the needs of his constituency.

He has been elected to the North End Waterfront Neighborhood Council (NEWNC) on several occasions and has served as the president of the community organization.

Passacantilli has become a major community activists producing positive results for the neighborhood.

The neighborhood should support Passacantilli.

Eliot School endeavor pays off

Spearheaded by many community residents, Mayor Marty Walsh, Representative Aaron Michlewitz, Senator Joe Boncore, Councilor Sal LaMattina and others attended the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the new John Eliot K-8 Innovative School overlooking Boston Harbor in the North End.

The long-awaited endeavor has finally become a reality with the development of a first rated public school in the neighborhood.

Everyone involved put their best foot forward, making it possible for the community to have a fully modern school to be proud of.

FOCCP 4th of July celebration attracts hundreds

Another highly successful 4th of July celebration was hosted by The Friends of Christopher Columbus Park (FOCCP), with help from sponsors, was held at the park.

A large number of residents, friends and visitors participated in the annual events that began with a parade throughout the park, followed by many activities and events offered at the celebration.

This event is always a popular and enjoyable community activity with many fun filled holiday celebration things to do.

Abide by Pool rules

The North End Mirabella Community Pool is now open for the summer season.

The pool is the place to be during the summer months to swim, cool off, get a tan or mingle with friends and/or family to discuss the latest North End gossip.

The Mirabella Pool is a special place for everyone to enjoy themselves and have fun.

Located conveniently adjacent to the Puopolo Park on Commercial Street, the pool needs everyone to abide by the rules in order to make it a safe place to be.

            The staff are experienced, helpful and are ready to do the job so pool goers can have an enjoyable time at the well-used and popular facility throughout the summer season.
