Tina Natale a wise selection by NEMPAC

The North End Music and Performing Arts Center (NEMPAC) continues to add quality members to its Board of Directors.

Tina Natale, the newest selection, has all the tools and desire to help NEMPAC continue to grow into a productive and viable community resource.

A life-long North End resident, Tina, a graduate of Suffolk University, currently serves on the Mayor’s Spark Boston Council, which focuses on empowering millennials to help shape Boston’s future.

Tina also serves on the North End/Waterfront Neighborhood Council (NEWNC) a community elected Board. In addition, she is an Executive Assistant to the President of TD Garden. She also has taken classes at the New England Conservancy of Music.

She told the Review “I am thrilled to have the opportunity to serve on the NEMPAC Board and look forward to contributing to the non-profit’s great future.”

NEMPAC has made a wise selection adding this talented person who recognizes the importance of the arts and appreciates its positive influence on the community.

Taste of the North End benefits many local organizations

The 2017 A Taste of the North End benefit was a mouth-watering event.

Many restaurants participated in the annual event spearheaded by Donato Frattaroli, family members and many volunteers helped put together this major attraction that draws hundreds of people each year.

Local North End agencies and organizations will benefit from this popular endeavor including the Casa Maria Monte Casino.

North End project a clean sweep

Over 170 North End/Waterfront residents and students from local schools made their way to the Paul Revere Mall (Prado) to participate in the City of Boston’s cleanup project, organized by North End resident Maria Lanza of the Mayor’s Office of Neighborhood Services.

Those involved cleaned parks, playgrounds, gardens, street curbs, and sidewalks.

Each year, the cleanup program gets bigger and better and the community looks much cleaner.

Maria Lanza, Liaison of the Mayor’s Office of Neighborhood Services did a great job organizing the neighborhood event.

NEAA Baseball Opening Day a Home Run

The North End Athletic Association (NEAA) kicked off its 2017 Baseball season with an Opening Day program that had all the teams playing on the same day with many spectators attending the games.

Ceremonies were held in memory of Barbara Sablone, a North End resident and community activist.

The players were proud to show off their baseball skills.

The first day of NEAA baseball was a smashing hit.
