West End Library Children’s Programs

New Program starting November 14th!

Spanish/English Language Exchange/Intercambio de Idiomas en Inglés y Español – Mondays 3-5 p.m.

English speakers can learn Spanish and Spanish speakers can learn English in this informal conversation class.

Holiday Party and Concert– Thursday, December 8th  at 6:00 pm

The West End annual Holiday Party, featuring live music by the West End Library Renaissance Ensemble. Refreshments will be served.

Book Discussion Group – Thursday, December 15th  , 3 pm

Discussing Much Ado About Nothing   by William Shakespeare.  Copies are available at the Library.

Ongoing Programs

English as a Second Language (ESL)Conversation Group  — Every Tuesday from 1:00 pm -2:30 pm.

Yoga for Seniors  — Every Tuesday  2:45-3:30pm  Classes are led by Tatiana Nekrasova, a certified yoga instructor.

After-Work Tai Chi Group – Every Thursday 5:00-6:00 pm. Instructor Arthur Soo-Hoo.

Guided Imagery Meditation with Polly Fletcher – Every Friday 12:15-1:00 pm.

Introduction to Laptops, iPads, E-Readers – By appointment only. Appointments email Helen Bender at  [email protected].

Preschool Story Hour – Every Tuesday 10:30-11:30 a.m. Children ages 3 to 5 and their caregivers, join the Librarian for weekly stories, songs, rhymes, and movement.

Toddler Time – Every Wednesday 10:30-11:30 a.m. Children ages 18 months to 3 years and their caregivers. Join the Librarian for developmentally appropriate stories, rhymes, movement, and songs.

Bouncing Babies – Every Friday, starting September 9, 10-11 a.m. Babies birth to 18 months and their caregivers, join the Librarian for stories, songs, tickles, and bounces. Drop-in for families only.

LEGO Club – 2nd & 4th Thursday of each month, starting September 22, 3:30-4:30 p.m.  Take a break after school and build, build, build! Get creative with the library’s LEGOs. Tackle one of our building challenges, or let your imagination go wild. This program is drop-in; all school-aged children are welcome.

Homework Help – Every Thursday, 4-6 p.m. Visit the Library to get help from a Boston Public Schools teacher. No appointment necessary; simply drop in with your homework.
