Suicide Prevention Partnership Formed

A partnership between the City of Boston and the Samaritans to create public awareness about suicide prevention and to support services to individuals in crisis will go a long way toward educating the public about existing resources that could help save lives.

The partnership will also educate workers that have regular contact with high risk persons about prevention related to public health concerns while identifying the signs of people who may harm themselves.

Identifying a potential suicide problem quickly, is the key to dealing with this kind of problem.

The initiative appears to be on target.
