North End Music and Performing Arts Center (NEMPAC) has welcomed its newest addition to the administrative team, Mary Claire Cross, who joined the staff in September.
“She has already shown great dedication to promoting arts and music programs in the North End,†said NEMPAC Executive Director Sherri Snow.
Snow noted, “I’m thrilled to have such a dedicated and creative new staff member on board.â€
Mary participated in the Center’s Instrumental Petting Zoo in the North End Library and Columbus Day Fall Festival in Columbus Park.
A recent graduate from Tufts University, Cross is excited to join the NEMPAC team. Throughout her time at Tufts she was involved in multiple music performing groups such as B.E.A.T.s Percussion Group and Kiniwe African music ensemble, and worked in the Granoff Music Center box office.
Cross now spends her free time drumming with the Agbekor Drum and Dance Society, a Ghanaian music ensemble based in Boston, and hiking in New Hampshire’s White Mountains.
