This coming Saturday, May 14, the North End/Waterfront Neighborhood Council (NEWNC) will be conducting its annual Board of Directors election from 10am to 2pm in the Nazzaro Community Center, 30 North Bennet Street.
All North End/Waterfront residents are eligible to go to the polls and vote. Proper identification is required.
NEWNC is an all-volunteer-non-profit community organization that acts as an advisory board to City Hall.
NEWNC meets the 2nd Monday of the month to discuss and vote on items, proposals and requests pertaining to the neighborhood in general.
Some of their agenda items include liquor licenses, transfer of liquor licenses, occupancy changes, new developments, height additions, opening of new businesses and much more.
It is important that residents find the time to cast a ballot in this neighborhood election, after all they will be representing the neighborhood on the Counsel for the next two years.
