Life-Long North End resident and former board member and President on the North End/Waterfront Neighborhood Council (NEWNC) Stephen Passacantilli will participate in the Best Buddies Challenge in Hyannis Port on Saturday, June 4 to benefit Best Buddies International.
Best Buddies is a non-profit organization founded by Anthony Kennedy Shriver in 1989 and is dedicated to creating opportunities for one-to-one friendships, integrated employment and leadership development for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).
Stephen chose to participate in this benefit event because he believes in the mission of Best Buddies and because the money he raises will directly affect the lives of those living with IDD.
“I am working to reach my event fundraising goal of $2,500,†Stephen said. “I’m hoping I can count on support to achieve this goal.â€
He also suggested others join him on a bike or on foot by registering for the challenge: Hyannis Port at www.bestbuddieschallenge.org/hp/support/?cr=6c4fb699-1623-43e9-a071-d7f6852c698a.
Stephen is seeking sponsors or donations toward his personal benefit challenge by using the above webpage link.
“Donations can be made in any amount large or small,†he said. “Donations are tax deductible.â€
He added, “Every little bit counts and with each donation it brings me one more mile closer to my fundraising goal.â€
