MBTA service has become deplorable and the T budget continues to be inadequate to meet the needs of the public transit system. What else is new?
One of the solutions that hopefully will make things better is an increase in fares. Heard that before.
There are major repairs needed throughout the system but the T is so far in debt it’s impossible to accomplish anything substantial. But that’s an ancient story.
Obviously, no one has been able to restructure the T into a profitable or break even status. Don’t count on this occurring in the near future.
Something has to be done to the T to make it a much better public service and safer system or the agency will go from deplorable to horrendous.
