Greenway Improvement Project Starts

The Greenway’s North End improvement project is underway with the initial removal of the boxwoods and the beginning of the fallow period in the boxwoods beds has occurred. Construction began on April 6.

Some restoration work and updates made to the pergola on both Parcel 8, the Northerly Park, and Parcel 10, the Southerly Park, both located in the North End part of the Greenway.

The project has received support from the North end community and financial support of the Massachusetts Cultural Council, Harbinger Development and Normandy Real Estate. North End Association leaders and local elected officials also supported the improvement project.
