Uber Driver Charged with Assault

Indecent assault and battery charges have been levied on an Uber driver, according to Boston Police reports.

Uber driver Abderrahim Dakiri, 36. Boston has been allegedly charged by a 30-year-old woman when the two were alone in the North End after she called for a ride.

Reportedly, the victim told police that during this time, alone with the Uber driver, he indecently touched her several times and she got out of the car and a passerby called police about 3:25am on a Sunday morning.

Apparently, Uber has had additional problems reported by passengers.

The victim told police that she and three friends had summoned an Uber ride. After her friends were dropped off, the woman remained in the car to go to a separate location, and during that time the incident occurred.

The new accusation of an Uber driver groping a passenger has prompted one state legislature to file a bill for tighter regulations, what he called a “troubling trend”.

Representative Nick Collins has filed the legislation because the incidences have become more of a problem than anyone would like to would admit and they need to be addressed.
