Eliot School Students Expressed Support for Boston Police

Responding to the National Fraternal Order of Police request for community members to designate January 9, as a day to appreciate and thank their local police officers, a group of 40 5th graders from the Eliot Innovation School in the North End visited District A-1 Police Station, 40 New Sudbury Street.

“The students offered, showed and voiced support for the man and woman of BPD,” said District A-1 Commanding Officer Captain Ken Fong.

Both cards and letters were presented to police, expressing the students’ support for the job they do protecting them and other citizens from the North End and all of Boston.

“I can’t thank the teachers and students from the Eliot School enough for their visit to our station,” the Captain said.

“For them to take the time out of their busy school schedule to draw up cards and personally deliver them in a successful effort to thank our offices was greatly appreciated and warmly received by all of the offices assigned to District A-1,” Captain Fong said.

“On behalf of all my officers, we can’t thank the students from the Eliot School enough for their thoughtful and kind gesture,” the Captain concluded.
