NEWRA to Elect Officers at Monthly Meeting

Election of officers will be the featured topic at the Thursday, October 9 monthly meeting of the North End/Waterfront Residents’ Association (NEWRA) being held in the Nazzaro Community Center, 30 North Bennet Street at 7pm.

In addition, a representative from the Boston Water and Sewer Commission (BWSC) will update residents on the eminent plans for neighborhood BWSC North End project.

Monica’s Restaurant, 67-69 Prince Street has applied to the Licensing Board for the City of Boston to amend the description of the licensed premises at 67 Prince Street from one room on the first floor with kitchen and storage in the rear to two rooms at 67-69 Prince Street with kitchen on the first floor and prep kitchen and storage in the basement. The applicant has leased the adjacent property at 69 Prince Street for the purpose of expansion of their present restaurant at 67 Prince Street.

Sushi Rock, 78-80 Salem Street, Pulcinella Mozzarella Bar, Inc. has applied to the Licensing Board to transfer the existing CV 7-Day, Malt & Wine with Liqueurs license to Sushi Rock LLC to be exercised at the same location. The proposed new licensee has applied for a change of closing hour to 1am, 7 days. The president closing hour is 11pm, 7 days. The applicant has offered as a compromise 11:30pm, Sunday through Wednesday and 12:30am, Thursday through Saturday. Sushi and other Asian food is planned to be served. Two votes will be taken. One for transfer of the license and one for a change of hours.
