Louis ‘Gigi’ Capozzi

North End Resident, formerly of Revere

Louis A. “Gigi” Capozzi of the North End of Boston, formerly of Revere, died unexpectedly on August 3.

He was the beloved husband of Florence ( Sarno) Capozzi with whom he shared 60 years of marriage; loving father of Claire Marrone and her husband, Dennis of Revere and the late Priscilla Capozzi; dear brother of Rosemarie Capozzi of Revere and the late Aurora D’Ellia and Domenic Capozzi; cherished grandfather of Dennis Marrone and his wife, Melissa and great grandfather of Giavanna. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Mass in celebration of Louie’s life was held on August 7 in the Sacred Heart Italian Church in the North End of Boston. Burial was in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Gilda Radner Ovarian Cancer Registry Roswel Park Cancer Institute, Elm & Carlton Streets, Buffalo, NY, 14263.
