Philip’s Salon on Hanover Street has been selected by the North End/Waterfront Residents’ Association (NEWRA) has received the August “Good Neighbor” Award for their work in helping to keep the North End clean by sweeping the area in front of the Salon and removing trash and debris.
For several years, NEWRA, has been selecting deserving stores, restaurants and residents to receive this award which recognizes them for their efforts on behalf of the neighborhood.
“Philip’s Salon has earned and deserves this special community award,” NEWRA member Janet Gilardi said. “They have consistently picked up trash and debris from the sidewalk and curb in front of the salon.”
NEWRA is a non-profit community group that meets monthly to address issues and requests related to the neighborhood.
