NEAA/Hill House Little League Ousted in Semi-finals

Although the NEAA/Hill House 10-year-old Little Leaguers won their way into the Mayor’s Cup baseball tournament semi-finals, they found themselves against a very strong South End team and were eliminated in a must win game 8-4.

The team earned their way into the semi-finals posting a 1-1 record before losing in the one game win or go home game contest.

“Everyone on the team gave one hundred percent but they fell short against a very solid team from the South End,” said NEAA Baseball Director Ralph Martignetti. “Coaches Dan Shea and Joe Bova did a good job making the team competitive and ready to play hard every game.”

“The NEAA is proud to sponsor local Little League players in tournaments like the Mayor’s Cup and several others,” Baseball Coordinator John Romano said.

He congratulated the players and coaches for their solid performance in the tournament.

The 2014 Mayor’s Cup Team: Peter Shea, Richard Bova, John Paul Giorgio, Nico LaColla, Samuel Griffin, Michael Bryan, Trevor McCormack, Niklas McHugh, Vincent O’Byrne, Daniel Toscano, Ryan Maziarka, Amanda Forziati, John D’Amico, Steven Griffin and Alphie Detemple.
