BWSC Major North End Project Needs Community Cooperation

Boston Water and Sewer Commission (BWSC) is planning major repairs and improvements on numerous North End streets in the near future.

Like the mechanics street cleaning program imposed by the city, residents will need to pay attention to dates, times and locations of these projects before they occur and be prepared to move vehicles and possibly have a water shutdown.

BWSC has already begun advising neighborhood groups and will mount a neighborhood information program to get the word out to as many residents as possible in a timely manner.

The must do repairs and improvements are expected to run through 2015 once it begins.

BWSC plans to do everything possible to make this major project run as smoothly as possible, the success of the multi–million project highly depends on the full cooperation of North End residents.

The Regional Review will continue to publish as much information as possible during the length of the repairs and improvements.
