Used needles in Gassy.
Not only has the second flight of DeFilippo Park (Gassy) become a favorite place for drug uses to stick needles in their arms but is also fast becoming an ignored cleanup place, according to a resident.
“There are needles and other debris like beer cans all over the place,†the concerned resident noted.
“The first level of the Gassy has kids playing all day including my six-year-old daughter,†the resident said. “Can we do anything about this dangerous situation?â€
About three weeks ago the new Parks Commission visited the site with residents and was visibly upset about the deplorable situation and apparently told the people with him that the situation would be taken care of immediately.
The problem still exists.
