The recent fire in Boston that took the two lives of fire fighters, Lieutenant Edward Walsh and firefighter Michael Kennedy only reminds us of how dangerous the job can be.
Firefighters put their lives on the line every time the station bell rings, protecting lives and property, with every response to a blaze or any type of major incidents.
Unfortunately, there are times when lives are lost, or a tragic incident occurs that makes for a sad situation that affects the families of the victims and the entire first response agencies.
The Regional Review extends its condolences to the families and the brother firefighters of Lt. Edward Walsh and Mike Kennedy who lost their lives so others can live, an act of bravery in the line of duty.
Heroes, both of them.
