The Know Orchestra is a quartet of four professional musicians who tour the New England area with their interactive workshops designed especially for children and families. However, all ages are encouraged to attend this dynamic performance. The group visited NEMPAC for the first time this past summer for a children’s workshop through the R.O.C.K.S Summer Programming, and after witnessing their talent, we had to invite them back!
The members of the orchestra are Ima Jonsdottir (violin), Todd Brunel (clarinet), Dan Shaud (horn) and Gary Fieldman (percussion). The ensemble plays original music that blends classical, jazz, and free improvisation. All four members are experienced music educators and performers with a strong commitment to bringing the joy of music and creativity to people.
This concert is appropriate for all ages and open to the public. Suggested donation is $15.
