BRA Approves 7-eleven Signage Review

The other 7-Eleven, also want Hanover Street, (different owners) is open 24 hours.

The new store will include a deli, fresh produce and Italian products similar to the previous White Hen Pantry.

NEWRA has also commented that the interior lights were to bright and distracting, having an effect on the surrounding streetscape.

“The store team has offered to investigate whether the interior lights can be toned down but there is yet no evidence, as all of January 9 that this has been accomplished,”  David Kubiak noted.

Open for several weeks without any signage, 7-Eleven, 342 Hanover Street, has received signage review approval from the Boston Redevelopment Authority.

The new 7-Eleven BRA support allows the store to seek Inspectional Services Department permits for installation based in part by North End/Waterfront Residents’ Association comments.

NEWRA comments resulted in the removal of additional signs that had been placed in windows and the removal of a 7-Eleven decals strip along the top and bottom of the windows, according to ZLC co-chair David Kubiak.

Reportedly, the new store will not sell alcohol and its hours of operation will be from 6 AM to 11 PM.
