Members of the North End Beautification Committee are working with local shopkeepers to put together their annual tree planting event on Cross Street in conjunction with the North End Christmas Stroll.
Hot chocolate and cookies will be provided by Caffe Paradiso and a visit by Santa is also expected.
The committee is hoping to get the North End Music and Performing Arts Center (NEMPAC) to provide carolers.
LM Florals, who decorates all the Riccio family’s businesses, will plant evergreens in the four planters on Cross Street.
“We are still hoping to receive more donations so that the project can be a year long one,” Committee member Patricia Thiboutot said.
The Holiday/Beautification event is scheduled for Friday, December 6 from 6-7:30pm.
