Since the first of the year, there have been three reported robberies on Hanover Street, according to District A-1 Boston Police Sergeant Tom Lema.
One robbery occurred at 4:10am in the vicinity of the Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy Greenway by Cross Street. The victim stated that he was going into the North End to eat and was robbed by two males who got out of a vehicle and fled the scene.
Another robbery occurred at 2:19am at the 7-11 Convenience Store on the corner of Hanover and Commercial Streets. Suspect brandished a small gun, took money from the register and fled on Commercial Street towards North Washington Street. This is not the first time the 7-11 store has been robbed.
The third robbery occurred at 11:16pm on Hanover Street near North Bennet Street. A male suspect brandishing a knife, attempted to gain access to a vehicle occupied by two persons.
No arrests have been made at this time.
The next Boston Police Public Safety meeting will be held on Thursday, August 1 at 6:30pm in the Nazzaro Community Center.
