West End Pantry cupboards are bare

The West End Pantry, located in the West End Library, is seeking donations to continue to service about 120 clients per month.

It’s important to keep this valuable program open to help needy people by providing them some food.

Reportedly, the pantry’s cupboards are bare, so donations are desperately needed to continue this worthwhile program.

Staffed by volunteers from ABCD North End/West End Neighborhood Service Center, the pantry is in dire need of financial support and donations of non-perishable items, canned or boxed.

Step up to the plate and belt a homerun for the pantry.

Donations can be dropped off at the library located at 151 Cambridge Street. For details call 617-523-3957.

Review offers assistance to Youth Council members

A special congratulations to two young ladies who will be representing the North End and West End on the Mayor’s Youth Council.

Both Heather Forbes (W.E.) and Erica Szule (N.E.) have undertaken the task of addressing youth concerns and ideas on a citywide basis.

They will have a terrific opportunity to work with the Mayor’s office, city departments and elected officials to express and help develop programs that will work for the city’s youth.

Heather and Erica have the chance to present new ideas to the powers to be and at the same time try to make them a reality.

Like those who have open their doors to help these two young ladies, the Regional Review offers its assistance as well.
