A much needed Pilot Clean-Up Program has been established by the North End Beautification Committee (NEBC), the North End Chamber of Commerce and MSA Mortgage Company. The new crew will be cleaning up the neighborhood on Friday and Saturdays from 8am to 12pm.
Working with the City of Boston Public Works Department the twelve-week Pilot Clean-Up Program is just what was needed as thousands of visitors, shoppers and diners pass through the neighborhood each weekend leaving a trail of debris on sidewalks and street curbs.
The North End Beautification Committee has partnered with other groups in the past to beautify the neighborhood and this has been the group’s best effort to date and there appears to be more to come.
The Pilot Program has without question made the community much cleaner. Hopefully the program becomes a permanent one.
