North End students should be signing-up for scholarships being provided by North End Against Drugs Michelina and Raymond Costa fund.
This is the ninth year these scholarships will be presented to K-8 grades, high school, preschool and college students.
Applications can be picked up at the Nazzaro Community Center, 30 North Bennet Street and must be returned by Friday, May 10 at 5pm.
The community organization feels that education is an extremely important part of helping keep people on the right path and away from the dangers of drugs and alcohol.
We totally agree and encourage North End students to apply. People and the business community should consider contributing to this most worthy cause. Donations of any amount will be accepted and appreciated.
NEAD is striving to provide as many scholarships as possible to North End students and could use a little help in order to do so.
Anyone interested should call Olivia “Costa” Scimeca at 617-605-6142.
