North End Baseball Opening Day/Quadruple-header

A quadruple-header will kick-off the North End Athletic Association 2013 Baseball Opening Day at Langone Park, Commercial Street on Saturday, April 27 starting at 10am with two back to back Minor League games.

Following the Minor League contests, the Majors (Little League) will also play back to back games starting at 2pm.

This year’s Opening Day will be played in memory of Carmen “Tilly” DeMartino, a life-long North End resident and NEAA member and coach.

The event will feature an opening day ceremony, a benefit raffle and a free pizza party.

Baseball Commissioner Ralph Martignetti encourages family members, friends, neighbors and local residents to attend opening day.

“This will be a special day as our baseball players will be displaying their talent and we can honor a terrific North End resident, Carmen “Tilly” DeMartino who just passed away on Easter Sunday,” Martignetti said.

“It will be a great opportunity for the community to show their support for the NEAA Baseball,” Program Coordinator John Romano said. “Hope to see a lot of people at the opening day event.”
