North End/Waterfront Neighborhood Council (NEWNC) President Stephen Passacantilli and North End/Waterfront Residents’ Association (NEWRA) President Jim Salini are doing and admirable job running their respective community group’s monthly meetings.
The meetings are conducted in a professional manner and before everything is said and done, everyone is fully informed of the subject at hand, and if they choose can voice their point of view on any or all agenda items.
Controlling the tone of any North End public meeting is no easy task. There’s a knack to doing so.
Both Stephen and Jim have shown their ability to handle the community meetings with class and respect for everyone in attendance. Having a clear picture of what NEWNC or NEWRA members are voting on is extremely important. Both leaders make absolutely sure everything is on the table before any vote is taken.
Both should be commended and deserve notable recognition for the leadership roles they play in making these monthly meetings informative and under control.
