Committee Addresses Roof Deck Expansion

Proposals to expand a head house and the purchase of a restaurant were discussed at the last NEWRA Zoning, Licensing and Construction Committee meeting held at the Mariners House in North Square.

50 Snow Hill Street, David Thyresson has filed an appeal for zoning relief to expand the existing head house on the roof of the single-family building.

253 Hanover Street (Marco’s), Massimo Tiberi plans to purchase the restaurant and has applied to the Licensing Board for transfer of the existing Malt and Wine with Cordials license, with no change to hours of operation, capacity or seating.

The Committee also discussed NEWRA Policy on Approval of Alcohol Licenses: Follow-up on the discussion at the November 8 NEWRA meeting.

In addition discussions included NEWRA Neighbor Notification Policy: The ZLC Committee will consider whether any change to the policy are warranted.
