Council to Address Six Requests

Six agenda items will be discussed and possibly voted on at the next North End/Waterfront Neighborhood Council (NEWNC) monthly meeting scheduled for Thursday, November 15 at 7pm in the Nazzaro Community Center, 30 North Bennet Street.

NEWNC President Stephen Passacantilli encourages all residents to attend and express their opinions or to just learn of proposals being suggested in the neighborhood.

Agenda

John Romano of the Massachusetts Department of Transportation will be giving a 5-10 minute presentation regarding MassDOT’s plan to move the Registry of Motor Vehicles into the 2nd and 3rd floors of Parcel 7. The RMV is currently on Washington Street in Chinatown.

Jeff MacLean the Location Manager for a TV Pilot titled “Terminales” is interested in filming a walk and talk scene in North Square on a date that has yet to be determined. The presentation is a 5-10 minute informational review.

78-80 Salem Street, Chris Young is seeking zoning relief to add a second floor addition. The proposed addition is to expand the restaurant currently occupying the property.

253 Hanover Street, Massimo Tiberi has filed an application with the Boston Licensing Board as manager of “ARIA TRATTORIA LLC” to purchase “MARCO” at 253 Hanover Street from Spaghetti and Meatball, Inc. There will be no change to the operating hours, the capacity or the seating.

5 Tileston Place, Nigel Jacobs is seeking zoning relief to enclose the existing roof of a single family for use as a bedroom and bathroom as well as extend a stair to allow access to a new roof deck.

92-96 Salem Street, Nick D’Amore is seeking zoning relief to demolish an existing one-story rear-yard structure and construct a 5-story addition to the building.
