North End Crime Statistics Down, Again

Sergeant Tom Lema, following a disturbance that delayed this month’s Boston Police Public Safety meeting, presented crime statistics based on the past 30 days.

Once again the crime numbers were down in the neighborhood according to a report handed out at the community meeting held at the Nazzaro Community Center on North Bennet Street.

The report indicated that 14 motor vehicle were towed, 118 motor vehicle violations were issued and 351 parking citations were written by police.

There were no homicides, sexual assaults, robberies, aggravated assaults, graffiti or community disorder.

Other statistics showed there were 7 larcenies down one, one auto theft same as last month and 4 larcenies from a motor vehicle down 2. Three arrest were made, one assault and battery, one domestic incident and one warrant arrest.
