Three people were recently named Emeritus Friends of the North End Library at their June meeting.
Christine Bergstrom was named President Emeritus, Dorothy Raymond, Treasurer Emeritus and Peter Greene, Secretary Emeritus by the library’s Executive Committee.
In this the 20th anniversary year of the Friends of the North End Library the Committee honored the three selectees for their many years of service to the North End Library, their dedication to the improvement of the library and their continued loyalty to the Friends and the library.
Jim Salini, current Secretary of the Friends, read the proclamation recognizing the recipients for their accomplishments.
The honorees were presented plaques with special commendations printed on them.
In addition, each person’s name will be commemorated on dedicatory bricks during the unveiling ceremony of its benefit Brick Walkway fundraiser.
“The bricks were funded by an anonymous donor,†Salini reported.
