Jenna Pettinicchi of the North End participated in Boston’s Run to Remember Half Marathon as an American Cancer Society DetermiNation athlete in memory of a loved one.
Pettinicchi dedicated her efforts on behalf of three special women in her life who have all been touched by cancer.
Her mom, grandmother and aunt were all diagnosed with cancer and all won their battle with the disease.
Shortly after her mother’s diagnosis, Jenna became involved with the Relay For Life run and has raised over $600 before her latest run.
Jenna throughout high school and college has continued her efforts on behalf of the American Cancer Society.
