Baseball Opening Day: a Grand Slam

NEAA players, coaches and officers are shown with the family and friends of the late Robert “Bobby” Simboli at the Major League Opening Day at Langone Field.

It was Opening Day last Saturday for the North End Athletic Association 2012 Baseball Season.

Two Minor League and games were played before the official ceremony took place and two Major League games were played following the ceremony.

This season the league honored the late Robert “Bobby” Simboli for his many years of service to North End sports.

Hundreds of family and friends turned out for this special baseball event and they enjoyed a free barbecue.
