Restaurant Week a Bonanza for Consumers out to Dinner

March signals the coming of restaurant week.

This is the week that makes the winter season worth it if you dine outside of your own kitchen.

From March 18 to 23 and March 25 to 30, Boston’s best restaurants will be offering tasty and price conscious menus for lunch and dinner.

By every measure, what is being offered are incredible bargains.

For instance, a 2-course lunch is just $15.12 and a 3-course lunch is offered for $20.12.

A 3-course dinner is $33.12.

These prices do not include beverage.

“Restaurant week is a winner for everyone in this neighborhood,” said Frank DePasquale, the noted owner of numerous restaurants in the North End.

“Restaurant Week takes our restaurants out of the winter doldrums and helps to fill them with diners. Diners love it because of the wonderful pricing. Restaurants love it because they are fuller than they’d be otherwise,” he added.

Last year, Restaurant Week brought thousands of people into the North End for lunch and dinnerand that was during a season with heavy snow and ice.

“This year it should be over the top,” said DePasquale.

“For restaurateurs, restaurant week takes the rough edge off the end of winter slow down and springs most businesses forward to the warmer season that is surely coming,” he added.

Restaurant Week requires that reservations be made early as seating tends to disappear.

Diners are asked not make reservations at more than one restaurant.

Taxes and gratuity are not included in the price during Restaurant Week.

Nearly every major restaurant in the North End will be participating in the event.
