The Boston Redevelopment Authority (BRA) expects the new owner of the Government Center Garage site will file a Project Notification Form (PNF) sometime before the end of the year, according to a North End/Waterfront Residents’ Association Zoning, Licensing and Construction Committee report.
This will apparently trigger the commencement of the BRA’s Article 80 Large Project Review Process.
The PNF is expected to describe a new plan for the redevelopment of the site including mixed use like offices, residential units, hotel and commercial buildings and towers.
The filing will immediately be followed by a public comment period.
“The ZLC Committee plans to follow any and all activity related to this major project which could have significant impacts to the North End/Waterfront neighborhood,” Committee Co-chair Dave Kubiak said. “NEWRA members will be informed.”
“So far, NEWRA Executive Committee has not been able to nominate a representative to serve on the Impact Advisor Group for this project that is acceptable to the BRA,” Kubiak noted.
