Phyllis DeNictolis

Boston Parking Officer

Phyllis DeNictolis of Boston’s North End died on October 11. She was 62 years old.

Mrs. DeNictolis worked as a parking officer for the City of Boston and was a long-time member of Madonna Dellacava Women’s Society.

She leaves her loving son, Vincent DeNictolis and his father, Michael DeNictolis, her sister, Diane Volch, her aunt, Rose Tricca, her uncle, Ralph Mercogliano and his wife, Janice, many loving nieces and nephews, her dear friend, Anthony Gambale, as well as Grand-Dog “Reggie.” She was the daughter of the late Dora Lancione and sister of the late Michael F. Mercogliano, Jr.

Frank Martorano

Car Salesman, Patriot Civic Club Member

Frank T, Martorano of Revere died unexpectedly following a brief illness at the Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston on October 8. He was 69 years old.

Born in Boston’s North End, he attended school here and lived here and in East Boston. For the past 15 years, he has been a resident of Revere. Before his retirement, he was an automobile salesman for many years and a longtime active member of the Patriot’s Civic Club.

He was the husband of Ellen R. (Lagorio); devoted father of Jessica R. and Jodi R. Martorano, both of Revere, Frank Martorano of Salem, Nicola and Vincenza Martorano, both of Everett and the late Frank T. Martorano Jr. of Antoinette “Netta” Chiampa and her late husband, Roger R. of Revere, Lucille Perry and Joseph Martorano of California. He was the dear uncle to Anthony Squillante and his wife, Jodi, of Pelham, NH, Flora and Albert Squillante, both of Revere, Sandra Campagna and her husband, Edward, Carolyn Rapposa and her husband, Richard, and Stephanie Cupp, all of California. He is also lovingly survived by many grand nieces and grand nephews, two grandchildren and cousins.

Funeral arrangements were by the Vertuccio & Smith Home for Funerals, Revere. Remembrances may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.

Berna Spadorcia

Of Medford, formerly of the North End

Berna L. (Sandonato) Spadorcia of Medford, formerly of the North End of Boston, died on October 8.

She was the beloved wife of Vito Spadorcia; devoted mother of Natalie Sforza and her husband, Domenico of Medford and loving grandmother of Chiara and Gabriella Sforza, both of Medford.

Funeral arrangements were by the Dello Russo Funeral Home, Medford. Burial was at St. Michael Cemetery, Boston. For obituary and guestbook dellorusso.net
