Team Nazzaro Vs. Breast Cancer-Round 2

The Team-Nazzaro Ladies of 2010 presenting a check of over $2,000 to the Susan G. Komen Passionately Pink for a cure organization. Team Nazzaro is forming again this year and is looking for your help to top that amount.

Members of the Nazzaro Center’s Teen Program will be raising funds again this year for the “Susan G. Komen Passionately Pink for the Cure” endeavor to help battle breast cancer. Inaugurated last fall as a way for female members of the Nazzaro Center’s youth program to actively participate in a cause they believe strongly in, the event was so uplifting, inspiring and rewarding that, not only have the young women again decided to support this cause in 2011, but have also unanimously agreed to make it one of their annual efforts at fundraising for the less fortunate.   The fundraiser will culminate in the Nazzaro playground at the center’s annual Halloween party on Friday, October 28 from 1-6 pm, an annual event made possible by our fundraising partners from ROC (Recovery, Outreach and Community) and their president Steven Virgilio. But the fundraising is ongoing through the whole month of October.  There will be a bake sale, crafts sale and raffles at this Halloween party, and donations of any baked goods will be greatly appreciated.  But there are numerous other ways to donate.  Monetary gifts can be given on-line or simply dropped off at the Nazzaro Center at any time (to make a gift on-line, simply go to www.komen.org and follow the links for donations). Checks should be made out to Susan G. Komen/Passionately Pink for a Cure.  Team Nazzaro raised $2,000 last year and hope to eclipse that total this year.  Please help be part of the cure for this unfortunate disease. To help in any way, please contact the center at 617-635-5166 and ask for someone with Team Nazzaro!
